Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Friend
Michael Peters of Castro Valley, CA, passed away peacefully at the age of 71, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He lived life on his own terms, yet was always there when you needed him most.
Known to many as Mike, he spent most of his life working as a carpenter, building not just homes, but a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and pride in doing things the right way. Tough and competitive by nature, he showed up without fail for his kids and grandkids, cheering from the sidelines at baseball games, dance recitals, and every milestone in between.
He loved motorcycles, hot rods, and sports of all kinds. He thrived on competition, skill, and the rush of pushing limits, but nothing ever meant more to him than the pride he felt watching his children and grandchildren grow and succeed. He was a straight shooter who told it like it was, lived with grit, and never missed a chance to trade stories and share a laugh over breakfast with friends in town.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Dena Peters; his son, Dennis Peters, and daughter-in-law, Cassandra Peters; his grandchildren, Kylie Ebrahimi (22) and Keira Ebrahimi (20), and Tyson Peters (3) and Cannon Peters (2); his brother, Marty Peters; and his sister, Michelle Vieira. He will be deeply missed but remembered fondly by all who knew him.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on February 9 at 4:00 PM at Santos-Robinson Mortuary in San Leandro, California.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Donate — Castro Valley Independent Sports League, in honor of his love for family, baseball, and community.
