Mary Patricia Dilling

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our adored mother, Mary Dilling, on Tuesday, March 18th, at the age of 71, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Mary passed away peacefully with her oldest sister by her side. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Born on October 7, 1953, in Oakland, CA, Mary spent her life giving love, kindness, and wisdom to those around her. She was known for her warm smile, caring nature, unwavering support, strong faith, contagious laugh, and ability to make others feel happy and loved in her presence.

As a mother, she was our rock, taught us the true meaning of strength, and was always there to offer guidance, love, and encouragement. Throughout her life, Mary poured her heart and soul into serving the families of the Bay Area as the owner of Santos Robinson Mortuary. She was passionate about helping others in their time of need. Mary was also a part of the San Leandro Inner Wheel Club, where she had amazing friendships and fond memories. On days when she wasn't working, Mary loved to travel and go shopping, especially for fancy high heel shoes! She will always be remembered for her classy look and warm smile. She found joy in being with her family, her grandbabies on her hip and her dogs by her side. Mary also loved hosting and cooking for her family and friends.

Mary leaves behind a legacy of helping others, spreading joy, and wrapping all who knew her in love and kindness. To know her is to experience love in its truest form.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Guy Dilling, her parents, and other friends and family members. She is survived by her children Kevin (Veronica), Shannon (Robert), and Denise (Mike Sr.), along with her 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Assumption Catholic Church in San Leandro, CA, at 11:00 a.m., with a burial to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hayward, CA, at 1:00 p.m.
