On October 5, 2025, Keikhosrow (Keith) Aidun passed away in San Leandro, California. The day prior, he celebrated his 73rd birthday with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Born into a Baháʼí family in Yazd, Iran, in 1952, Keikhosrow was the eldest child of Bahram and Khorshidchehr Aidun. As a teenager, he attended a Canadian boarding school for his high school education, then completed his undergraduate degree, both in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He later completed a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in Portland, Oregon.
While working as an engineer with Alberta Government Telephones (AGT) in Edmonton, Alberta, he married and had two children, Laila and Soroosh - the joys of his life. After a brief period working for his family's business in Syracuse, New York, he moved to San Leandro, California, to begin a meaningful career in government service with CalTrans. He remarried in 2004 to his wife, Barbara, and spent the past two decades with his wife and their growing family.
The final years of his life were joyfully filled with the people and activities dearest to his heart. He enjoyed serving as a volleyball referee and is remembered as a knowledgeable mentor and trainer to new officials. He served for decades as a member of Local Spiritual Assemblies for Baháʼís in both the United States and Canada. He was a loving, generous, and concerned father and grandfather, always ready with advice on questions, large or small. His Faith infused every part of his life and sustained him across multiple changes and challenges. He is deeply loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
