Florence Jane Gurrieri-Pardini

Florence J. Gurrieri-Pardini September 12, 1939 – November 5, 2024, Castro Valley Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. Florence passed peacefully at home on November 5, 2024, with her son-in-law Earl by her side.

Florence was born in Oakland to Anthony and Elsie Vassallo. Florence attended Castlemont High School in Oakland where she was a yell leader and an avid tennis player and graduated in 1957.

Florence worked at her father’s produce business, Sun Valley Produce in Oakland as the bookkeeper for many years.  She did various bookkeeping jobs over the years and then worked at the Hayward-Castro Valley Moose Lodge for 20 plus years as the Secretary.

Florence and Joseph were married for 26 years and resided in Castro Valley. They shared many adventures and had a great love for their family and enjoyed being active members of the Moose Organization.

After the passing of her husband Joseph, she was lucky enough to find love again and married Carlo Pardini and they resided in San Leandro until his passing in 2010.

Florence remained in San Leandro until moving back to Castro Valley to her home with her daughter Dina, Son-in-law Earl and grandson Jason to get extra care.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Dina (Earl), Grandchildren JT (Danika) Lada, Alexis Lada (Jose Rincon) and Jason Lada. She has three great Grandchildren Bailey, Kendall and JT. She is also survived by her brother Tony Vassallo and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Elsie and her sister Diane Martin.

Visitation will be held at Santos Robinson Mortuary on Monday November 18th from noon to 8pm.

Funeral Services will be held at Assumption Church in San Leandro on November 19th at 10:30am. Followed by a gravesite service at Holy Sepulcher in Hayward at 12:30pm.
