Elma Fulgeras Penaranda, age 89, passed away on her birthday, February 17. Born on February 17, 1936, in the Philippines, she was a woman of unwavering faith and strength. As a brave immigrant, she journeyed to the United States, embracing new opportunities while keeping her roots deeply connected to her homeland.
A devout Roman Catholic, Elma lived her life with an unshakable belief in God and an unfaltering dedication to her family. Her faith in God was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through both the joys and challenges of life.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by her family and friends, who were blessed to have known such a remarkable woman. Elma is survived by her faithful husband, Pedro, two sons, Elmer and Egino, five grandchildren, Emily, Laura, Matthew, Rachael and Claire, and great grandson, Brett.
