Evelyn passed away at her home at the age of 102.  She was the devoted wife of the late George Obertello,Sr.  Loving mother of George, Jr. (Linda), Dennis, deceased, (Drue), and Cathy (Jim).  Cherished grandmother of Andrea, Angelo, Trevor and Sara.  Adored great-grandmother of Nate, Abby, Maddie and Dominic.  Sister of Norma Peterson and survived by nieces and nephews. 

Evelyn was an excellent baker who enjoyed her yearly tradition of baking Christmas cookies with her daughter and granddaughters.

Evelyn’s family is deeply grateful to her caregiver, Elena, for her devoted care and kindness for the last 5 years.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Church of the Assumption, 1100 Fulton Avenue, San Leandro beginning at 11:00 AM.  Private burial to follow.

Donations to the Church of the Assumption are preferred.
